I'm Karen Franco a children’s book author, special needs advocate and Jacob’s mom. Writing has always been a passion ever since graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. Living with special needs has truly opened my heart and mind to other ways of learning, communicating and loving which hopefully shows in my writing about Jacob. Each book is a simple story with a big meaning. They help to teach other children about patience, understanding and acceptance of kids who are “differently-abled.” I live in Union Grove, Wisconsin with my husband Chris, my son Jacob and our Labradoodle, Bella.
