Michael uses his books to give presentations across Canada to educators, parents, communities and organizations. Michael is passionate about volunteering and is the Vice President on the board of Community Living Ontario, where he advocates for others with disabilities. He was appointed to the Minister’s Advisory Council on Special Education to share his experience around learning in the school system. He is a proud Sobeys grocery store employee and was chosen as his township Citizen of the Year for 2019. Michael competes as a Special Olympic athlete playing both basketball and baseball.

Michael is a public speaker and activist who wrote and self-published his first book “Can’t Read, Can’t Write, Here’s My Book” using speech-to-text technology. He was born and raised in a small town in Ontario Canada. At a young age, Michael was diagnosed with autism and an intellectual disability. In 2020, he wrote a children's book with Heather Gale called, "I Belong: Can I Play?." Both his books speak to the importance of diversity and inclusion through sharing his true story.
