A former teacher and school librarian, Anola started writing down her story ideas when she was a third grader. Now she enjoys writing for young readers and their families. She loves speaking to students about the art and craft of writing and how to bring a story alive for the reader. An avid reader, gardener and swimmer, she lives in Kansas City with her husband Peter Doyle. They both enjoy travel—especially to Singapore to visit their redheaded granddaughter and her happy little brother.
