Inspired by her grandchildren, Susan Pennington aspires to write stories that will return children to a time of innocence. Susan enjoys dabbling in poetry, novels, film, and young adult fiction, but her first love is writing for children. "The Adventures of Toby & Doby," and "Toby and Doby Go To School," can be found throughout the United States, Canada, and England. Susan bases her series on bedtime stories her aunt created, just for her, nearly sixty years ago. Susan longs to share these time-tested, mother-approved, and memorable tales with children around the world. Susan's hobbies include spending time with her family, horseback riding, and bowling. As a young girl, Susan’s home library held the likes of Mark Twain and Zane Grey. As a teenager, she was captivated by the escapades of Nancy Drew. What's Susan working on these days? Well, currently she is preparing short scripts for each one of her stories, as well as, adapting her Toby and Doby series into a full-length animated film. Two of Susan's personality traits are tenacity and determination. Both of which will be key components in helping her become the successful children’s writer she has always dreamed of.
