Tanya Joy started her career as a kindergarten teacher. She loves working with kids and has over 30 years of experience educating preschoolers. In her books, Tanya uses all of her valuable experience to create unique and relatable characters that younger audiences identify with. Her books promote fundamental human qualities and teach children to be kind, respectful to others, honest, courageous and a better person. In her spare time she likes to take walks in the Bronx’s botanical garden and be inspired by nature. She lives and works in New York City.
