About Busy Izzy and Friends Busy Izzy and Friends is a multi-media series, comprising; Picture books, Songs, Interactive Videos, and an 'all new' Stage Show ...promoting friendship, fun and healthy food, for children aged 3-8 years. This exciting initiative is centred around the adventurous world of Busy Izzy, and her diverse group of friends, Talkative Tess, Mathematic Max, Modern Mo Li, Sensible Steven, Bossy Bobby, Secret-Agent Skye, Even Evan, Worried Warren and her rescue puppy, Newly Truly.
The stories focus on Izzy’s life in Green Grass Grove, her store called Nix & Nax, where she loves to spend time with her friends and make healthy snaxalicious snacks, combining veggies and herbs from her garden. Here are some of the things in Izzy’s store; paint pots and paint brushes, home-made honey in jars, books, balls, pencils and pens, pinwheels, and guitars. At the back of her store, Busy Izzy has a veggie garden where she loves to grow organic vegetables and herbs. There are honey-bees and fruit trees too and lots to do with Izzy and her friends at Nix & Nax. “Busy Izzy always knew exactly what to do” and never too busy for her friends.
In addition to the first three published books, there are songs, activities, interactive music videos and an all NEW ‘Busy Izzy and Friends’ STAGE SHOW. Book 1, "Busy Izzy and Friends" is a 32-page book introducing Busy Izzy and her friends. Included are safety tips and the importance of music and singing. Also in the book is an audio CD which contains five energetic, sing-a-long songs. Author and co-songwriter, Roxanne Kiely, is on the CD as well, telling the story, with co-creator and co-songwriter, Stephen Kiely, complete with fun sound effects.
