Born at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington - London in the 60s but lived and started my schooling in Kent. Sade retains fond memories her very first primary school - Rolvenden Primary. She lived happily with her foster mother and her family. Years later, she (and her brother) accompanied her parents to live in Nigeria where she gained two more siblings and a First degree in Eng Linguistics. On returning to England, she studied to become a teacher then taught at schools within the London Boroughs of Southwark and Redbridge. This is when when her fascination for picture books evolved and from then onwards, she subconsciously knew she'd one day write a book too!
Sade Fadipe started out her career as a linguist and later followed her passion for teaching children by taking on a post-graduate in Education. After teaching in London for close to two decades, she spent time out in Nigeria where she initiated a training program for teachers on the skill of reading. This involved the use of fiction books in enhancing reading and the creation of reading-corners, where libraries were non-existent. While training she penned an indigenous alphabet script for her trainees. Little did she know that her ABC rhyme would one day, evolve into 'A Fun ABC' - published and distributed across the globe! In 2019, her first book was re-titled A Visit to Grandad in the USA. To date it has been nominated for the MOCK CLADECOTT AWARDS (for non-resident recognition) and named as one of the best family books in the Bakers Dozen Awards 2020. Sade, married with two daughters lives in Essex, UK.
